Timer Challenge is a free timing game you can play in your browser. Memorize a target time, then stop a hidden clock as close as you can. Play solo rounds or create a friends room and compete on accuracy.
Also known as: stop the clock, timing challenge, hidden timer game
Stop a hidden clock as close as you can to the target time — solo rounds or friends rooms with scored accuracy.
How to play Timer Challenge
Solo: set “Target up to” anywhere from 1 to 60 seconds; a fresh target is drawn inside the new bound every time you change it.
Solo: read the target on the readout (for example 1.56 s) — the ready phase is the only point at which the range can be adjusted.
Solo: each target is a round — Round 1, Round 2, and so on. On your first round, a hint reminds you that elapsed time stays hidden. Press Start and count the time out in your head; the readout keeps showing the target and never counts up.
Solo: press Stop the instant you believe you have hit the target. Results show a miss gauge plus accuracy, direction, and a tier. Tap Play again for the next round.
Friends: tap Play with Friends to create a room, or open a shared link to join. Pick a username — no signup needed.
Friends: once everyone is in, the host starts the round. You have 30 seconds to stop; miss it and you are placed last for that round.
Friends: points carry across rounds in the same room until it expires after 24 hours.
Solo: score is 15–100 from how far you missed relative to max(25% of target, 0.5 s). An exact stop scores 100; the value falls off smoothly as you drift away and never drops below 15. Results show accuracy %, direction (too early/late), and a tier label (Perfect, Great, Good, Off, Rookie) — all derived from the same miss. Each round is saved on this device — Current, average, and personal best are shown. The trash icon clears all scores and starts fresh at Round 1. Friends: with N players, 1st place gets N points, 2nd gets N−1, down to 1 for last. Ties share the same points and the next rank continues (e.g. a 3-way tie for 1st each gets N points, then the next player gets N−3).
