Tents is a free logic puzzle you can play in your browser. Place tents beside trees using row and column counts — no two tents may touch. Daily 8×8 boards, Classic sizes from Easy to Expert, undo, hints, and autosave included.

How to play Tents

  1. Daily is on by default: one Medium 8×8 board per UTC day. Classic (?daily=0) offers Easy 6×6, Medium 8×8, Hard 10×10, or Expert 12×12.
  2. Tap a cell to cycle empty → tent → grass (no tent here) → empty. Trees cannot be changed. Drag across cells to paint grass.
  3. Each tree pairs with exactly one tent on an adjacent side, and each tent belongs to one tree. Tents never touch, including diagonally.
  4. Numbers on the grid edge show how many tents belong in that row or column. Clues turn green when exact and red when exceeded.
  5. Undo, redo, and Reset. Check marks cells that disagree with the solution. Hint reveals one correct cell from that solution and counts against your best.
  6. Optional Auto-grass marks neighbors when you place a tent (default on for Easy and Medium Classic). Show mistakes highlights rule breaks when enabled.
  7. You win when every tree is paired, counts match, and there are no violations. The timer starts on your first edit and pauses while the tab is hidden.

Best time wins, then fewer hints. Classic stores one best per difficulty. Daily stores one win per UTC day plus a streak, on this device.
