Also known as: lane hopper, road crossing game, hop across lanes
Hop a round bird across roads, rivers, and rails in this free browser arcade game. Endless, a 60-second rush, or the daily course everyone shares.
How to play Lane Crosser
Choose Endless, 60-Second, or Daily. Daily uses the same UTC course for everyone until the next midnight; open it with ?daily=1. Switch modes from the start screen or after a run.
Hop with Arrow keys or WASD. Arrows do not scroll the page. On touch, swipe in a direction, or tap the left or right third to step sideways and the center to hop forward. An optional on-screen pad lives in settings (off by default, saved on this device).
Each hop takes a short beat and buffers one direction. Trees and rocks bounce you in place. Logs and pads carry you; leaving the side of the screen ends the run.
Roads have cars and trucks. Rivers need a log or pad under you. Rails flash a warning, then a full-width train. A chasing camera ends the run if you fall behind.
Mute is in the header settings and is saved. Autoplay uses the same hop policy as the fairness check so you can watch a run. The loop pauses while the tab is hidden.
Score is furthest row plus 5 for each coin taken on open grass. Endless, 60-Second, and Daily each keep a device best. Daily’s first finished run of the UTC day is the official score and counts toward a streak; later runs that day can still raise the device best but do not replace the official score.
