How to play Lights Out

  1. The page opens in 📅 Daily Lights: a shared medium 5×5 for the UTC day. Switch to Classic for Easy, Medium, or Hard with a fresh board each run (or open a friend link with ?daily=0&seed=…).
  2. Tap a cell to toggle it and its up, down, left, and right neighbours. Edge cells skip missing neighbours.
  3. Every click counts as one move, including repeat taps on the same cell. The timer stays at 00:00.00 until your first tap.
  4. Turn every light off to win. No undo.
  5. On a keyboard, focus the board, use arrow keys to move a cursor, and Enter or Space to toggle.
  6. Daily allows unlimited replays; your best move count (tie-break faster time) and fastest time are saved separately on this device.

Fewest moves is the primary record; faster time breaks ties on moves. A separate best time is kept even if another run used fewer moves. Daily streaks count consecutive UTC days you cleared the daily board. There is no public leaderboard.
