Stack seven falling block shapes, clear lines, and chain combos in a 120-second score attack. Hold, ghost, wall kicks, and a daily piece order everyone shares.
How to play Block Drop
The page opens in Practice with a fresh piece order every run. Below the description, use the 📅 Daily Challenge / Practice toggle — Daily deals the same UTC piece order to everyone until the next midnight. Retry as often as you like.
Press Start. The round lasts 120 seconds, and it also ends at once if a new piece cannot enter the well because the stack reached the top.
Move with ←/→ (hold to slide), rotate with ↑ or Z, rotate the other way with X, soft drop with ↓, and hard drop with Space. On touch, use the buttons under the well.
Press C or Shift (or Hold) to put the falling piece aside and bring it back later — once per piece until it locks. The outline in the well shows where the piece will land, and the Next box shows what comes after it.
A landed piece waits about half a second before it locks, so you can still slide or rotate it into a gap. Rotation kicks off walls and the floor when there is room.
Fill a row across all 10 columns to clear it. Every 10 lines raises the level and makes pieces fall faster. Press P or the pause button to freeze the clock and gravity.
Points are scored when a piece locks. Clearing 1, 2, 3, or 4 lines is worth a base of 100, 250, 500, or 1,000. Consecutive locks that clear lines build a combo: the first clear is ×1, the next ×2, and so on, and the base is multiplied by the combo. A lock that clears nothing resets the combo. A 4-line clear right after another 4-line clear is back-to-back and uses a base of 1,500 instead (locks that clear nothing keep the back-to-back charge; a 1–3 line clear breaks it). Emptying the whole well adds a flat +2,000 perfect-clear bonus, and every new level reached adds a flat +500. Soft and hard drops score nothing. Practice keeps a best score on this device, and Daily keeps today’s best for the shared piece order.
