Hoops is a free basketball shooter in your browser. Swipe to launch at a sliding hoop, swish or bank for 3, and chain a streak in Score Attack, Free Throw, Shot Clock, or the shared daily UTC court.

How to play Hoops

  1. Swipe up on the court to shoot. A short or slow swipe shows “Swipe faster” and does not launch. Swipes while the ball is in the air are ignored.
  2. Score Attack is 60 seconds. Easy and Medium start the hoop sliding after you score; Hard slides from the first shot and adds wind between shots.
  3. Free Throw is 10 shots at a fixed hoop. Your saved score is accuracy percent. Swish and bank still get callouts but count as one make.
  4. Shot Clock starts at 24 seconds. A make adds 3 seconds, capped at 24. Each new ball steps across the lane.
  5. Daily is 60 seconds with a shared UTC hoop path and release points. Difficulty is locked. Open with ?daily=1.
  6. Easy draws a short dotted preview and blends near-misses toward a swish. Mute and difficulty are saved on this device.

A make is only a downward pass through the rim. Swish (no rim or backboard) and bank (first contact is the backboard) are 3 points; other makes are 2. Streak multiplier is 1 + floor(consecutive makes / 2). Free Throw stores accuracy percent. Bests are saved per mode, and Daily per UTC date, on this device.
