Speed Type is a free typing game you can play in your browser. Type falling words or alphabet prompts before they cross the baseline in Classic, Endurance, or Alphabet Soup modes. Combo scoring rewards flawless streaks.

Free typing test in your browser: type falling words before they cross the baseline. Classic 60-second runs, endless endurance, or alphabet soup with combo scoring.

How to play Speed Type

  1. Pick Classic (60 seconds, 5 misses end the run), Endurance (no clock, 3 misses), or Alphabet Soup (single letters, same 60s and 5-miss rules).
  2. Words fall toward the red baseline. Type on your keyboard or tap the on-screen QWERTY keys.
  3. Your buffer locks onto the lowest word that matches what you typed, otherwise the word closest to the baseline. Backspace edits the buffer.
  4. A wrong letter flashes and resets your flawless streak and combo multiplier.
  5. Clear a word by typing it fully — it disappears and speeds up spawns slightly.

Each cleared word scores 100 × word length × combo. Combo starts at ×1 and increases by 1 after every 5 consecutive flawless words (no wrong key before completion). Higher is better; best score is saved per mode on this device.
